Troubleshooting
Camera and microphone help
Most video-chat setup problems come from browser permission, another app using the device, the wrong input, or a network that restricts WebRTC. Work through these checks in order.
If permission is blocked
- Select the lock or site-settings icon beside the address bar.
- Set Camera and Microphone to Allow for omeglehot.com.
- Reload the page and choose to start again.
If the browser never shows a prompt, permission may already be denied at browser or operating-system level. Open the browser’s privacy settings and your device’s camera/microphone settings, then confirm the browser itself is allowed.
If video is black or frozen
- Close other calling, recording, or camera apps that may hold the device.
- Check that the camera cover is open and the correct lens faces you.
- Disable and re-enable the camera control, or reload the page.
- On mobile, try the camera-switch control only after the first camera starts.
If nobody can hear you
Confirm the microphone control is on, the operating system has not muted the input, and the expected microphone is selected as the browser default. Bluetooth headsets sometimes stay connected while using a different input than expected; reconnecting the headset can help.
If matching works but the call does not connect
WebRTC can be restricted by corporate, school, hotel, VPN, or filtered networks. Try a normal home or mobile connection, temporarily disable a VPN, update the browser, and retry. Firewalls can block the media route even when the website itself loads.
Still stuck?
