Stay safer in random video chat

Random conversations are unpredictable. Treat every person as unknown, share less than you think you need to, and leave immediately when something feels wrong.

Protect identifying information

Do not share your full name, home or work address, school, phone number, personal email, passwords, government identifiers, travel plans, or live location. Check what is visible behind you—mail, badges, photos, windows, and reflections can reveal more than expected.

Assume the other person can record

OmegleHot does not provide a recording button, but another person can still use device software or another camera to capture the conversation. Do not show or say anything you would not want saved or shared.

Recognize manipulation and scams

  • Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, passwords, or verification codes.
  • Do not install software or open unfamiliar links sent by a stranger.
  • Be wary of urgent requests, threats, blackmail, impersonation, and promises of prizes or investments.
  • Do not move to another app just because someone pressures you to.

Use Next or Leave without hesitation

You do not owe a stranger an explanation. End the conversation if you see sexual content you did not consent to, hate or threats, suspected minors, harassment, coercion, illegal activity, or anything that makes you uncomfortable.

Report urgent and non-urgent concerns

For an immediate threat or emergency, contact your local emergency services. For an OmegleHot abuse or safety concern, email contact@omeglehot.com with the approximate date, time, timezone, what happened, and any non-sensitive evidence you can safely provide. Do not send illegal imagery.
