Safety guide
A practical random video chat safety checklist
Use this checklist before, during, and after a conversation. It cannot remove every risk, but it can reduce how much a stranger can learn or take from you.
Before you connect
- Remove mail, badges, school or company logos, family photos, and location clues from view.
- Use a nickname and avoid displaying other apps or notifications on screen.
- Decide in advance that you will never share passwords, codes, money, or intimate material.
- Remember that OmegleHot is for adults aged 18 and older.
During the conversation
- Keep questions broad. A country or general region is safer than an address or live location.
- Assume anything on camera can be recorded with tools outside the website.
- Do not click unknown links, install software, scan QR codes, or share your screen.
- Leave if someone uses urgency, secrecy, shame, affection, or threats to pressure you.
After a concerning chat
- End the connection; do not keep negotiating with the person.
- Block related accounts on other services if you shared contact details.
- Change compromised passwords and contact a payment provider if money or credentials were exposed.
- Write down the date, time, timezone, and what occurred while it is fresh.
- Email contact@omeglehot.com about service-related abuse. Do not send illegal imagery.
For emergency danger, contact local emergency services. For the service rules, read the community guidelines.
